110/10 kV Transformer Substation — Plovdiv Industrial Park

Design, supply, and commissioning of a new 110/10 kV primary substation serving a 35-hectare industrial park with 40 MW connection capacity.

2026Year
MIG delivered the complete electrical infrastructure for a greenfield industrial park in the Plovdiv region. The project scope included a new 110/10 kV transformer substation with two 25 MVA power transformers, a 14-panel 10 kV metal-clad switchgear building, and a 110 kV GIS bay connected to the EVN transmission line.
The design phase included power system studies (load flow, short-circuit, and protection coordination) accepted by the Bulgarian Energy System Operator. MIG acted as the EPC contractor, managing civil works subcontractors, equipment suppliers, and the commissioning process with EVN Elektrostopanstvo.
The project was energised ahead of schedule and within budget. The substation has been in continuous operation since energisation with zero unplanned outages in the first 18 months of service.
