After 14 weeks of phased outage-window working, MIG has handed over the fully upgraded electrical installation at the Varna Regional Water Treatment Plant to the regional water utility. The project replaced obsolete 1980s-era switchgear with modern IEC-compliant equipment across all three pump stations on the site.
Working within strict 6-hour outage windows imposed by the client to maintain water supply continuity, MIG's team completed each phase of work on schedule. The project was notable for the quality of pre-installation preparation — every cable was pre-cut and labelled offsite, and every cubicle was pre-wired and tested in our workshop before delivery to site.
Since handover there have been no unplanned outages at the facility. The new ATS system has operated successfully during two planned grid-supply interruptions, automatically transferring load to the standby generator within the required 10-second window.
